I am Artyom Levashov, a jack of all trades but a master of none.
During my first lessons of Critical Game studies I had to pair up with one of my peers and then we had to interview each other, I was paired up with a kind person named Joe we interviewed each other, we asked each other the exact same questions, like what books we read lately, what films, average game hours a week and things such as that, and I feel that there is hope for me and friendship yet.

But before you now, I will present my questions and answers.
- What is the title of the book (fiction) you are currently reading(or the last fiction book you read)?
Now I’m reading ‘The Prodigal Mage’ it’s a sequel to the kingmaker, kingbreaker series written by Karen Miller. I bought it without really knowing it was a sequel, although it doesn’t really feel like one when I read it.
- What is the title/topic of the book (non-fiction) you are currently reading (or the last non-fiction book you read)?
I don’t really read non fiction books, to be honest, I don’t read non fiction books for information, I just use Wikipedia!
- What is the last life performance (music, drama or dance) you attended?
I have never been! I can never find the time.
- What is the title of the last film you saw at the cinema/online or watched on DVD?
Toy Story 3, it was great, It was like watching my childhood end when Andy passed away his toys away.
- How often do you read the newspaper? (which one?)
I don’t read the newspaper, it’s boring! Although I do look at the job section every now and then.
- Which art gallery/museum/exhibition did you last visit?
I don’t like art galleries, or art, although I do draw.
- How many hours a week do you spend playing video games?
It varies daily but at the most about 50 hours a week, but sometimes it’s almost 0!
- How many hours a week do you spend playing games other than video games?
I play fight with my little brother, but I don’t know if that really counts.
My answers, I guess, are like the sort of thing you'd expect from a typical, boring and uncultured gamer, however during the duration of the time I will be updating this blog, I hope that you will see that my answers to these questions don't reflect in me and I am a lot more than I seem.
Lastly I welcome you to my new blog, and I hope you enjoy your stay.
Fifty hours a week?! That's the kind of hours an overworked junior doctor puts in at a hospital!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you'll find some non-fiction books on the shelves in the library to capture your interest and provide guidance and inspiration. (There are newspapers in the library too: if you look at a few you might find one or two aren't as boring as the ones that promote the owner's other media interests in between items of celebrity gossip).
There are a few live music venues, art galleries, theatres and museums in town: it might be fun to try to find the time to visit one every few weeks :-)
Not liking Art! A very rum answer and I should think after spending 50 hours gaming in a week I wouldn’t want to play for the next week either!
ReplyDeleteHI Artyom I like the style of Symbols of magic.
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice having an ongoing project like that.
Have you had any thoughts on making it a game?
I love the fish did you make them? If so very nice work I’ve been here to long feeding them,
Actually, Tom, it's just a gadget I stuck onto this blog... But yeah, Symbols is a pretty cool thing that I enjoy doing whenever I'm actually doing it, and I have thought about making it a game several times but never got around to doing it. Mainly because I don't know how yet.
